The theme of the Research Group is reflected in the Pacto Universitário pela Promoção do Respeito à Diversidade, da Cultura da Paz e dos Direitos Humanos (Higher Education Pact for the Promotion of the Respect to Diversity, Culture of Peace and Human Rights, of 2016), of the Federal Government, of which UniSantos is part.

In 2020, stemming from the activities of the Research Group, a formal partnership was established between UniSantos and the University of South-Eastern Norway
