The group includes thematic research projects led by professors who are part of it. Within these broad projects, the different subprojects of Scientific Initiation, IC-EM and TCC are articulated, as well as the research projects of master’s students.
Neurovascular aspects of the cognitive performance of individuals with a family history of arterial hypertension
Objective: To analyze whether autonomic, hemodynamic, and vascular responses after acute exposure to physiological stress influence cognitive performance in normotensive individuals with a family history of arterial hypertension. This is an exploratory study with a cross-sectional analytical observational design. For this, all participants in this research will be submitted to evaluations that aim to characterize the anthropometric, autonomic, cognitive, behavioral profile and the sleep pattern. In addition, participants will be submitted to two experimental sessions that aim to evaluate the autonomic, hemodynamic, and cognitive responses to isometric physical exercise of light and moderate intensity.
